Each DragonFly light is equipped with a WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy wireless module, enabling location tracking, voice communications, and machine data backhaul. DragonFly can be connected, managed and controlled via the IoT Hive software allowing sites to customise their lighting controls, alerts as well as emergency and evacuation events - both in regards to colour and function, based upon their particular preferences and current safety procedures.
Integration With Monitoring Systems
DragonFly can be connected to multiple environmental monitoring devices such as air quality, dust and poisonous gas sensors. The IoT web app utilises a map-based control application to accurately control and apply their response plans to the underground operations.
Vehicle Proximity Awareness and AI Cameras
DragonFly enhances underground safety with its vehicle proximity awareness system and AI- powered cameras. The system alerts workers to the presence of nearby vehicles and pedestrians, reducing the risk of accidents. The AI cameras are equipped with vehicle detection capabilities, including license plate recognition. Enabling detection of unauthorized vehicle events, ensuring a secure and well-monitored environment.
Advanced Safety and Monitoring Features
The DragonFly platform has an Input/Output Module that ensures connectivity to other systems, enhancing overall operational integration. The trigger activation point is designed to manage emergency and blasting events safely. With advanced telemetry capabilities, DragonFly trigger module can interact with micro stench gas release stations, pumps, fans and doors - providing an additional layer of tunnel control and emergency management.
Emergency Activation and Emergency Management System
In critical emergency situations, the DragonFly Wireless Activation Point (WAP) by IoT Automation stands out with its advanced emergency functionalities and seamless connectivity to the DragonFly Emergency Access Point (EAP). When the emergency button is activated, the lights switch to emergency mode, providing clear visual alerts to ensure a prompt and effective response. Along with its siren function, the DragonFly now includes the capability to play multiple selectable siren tones and pre-recorded voice messages for alerts, enhancing the overall effectiveness of emergency notifications.
Location Tracking & Access Control
With inbuilt WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, the DragonFly Lighting system can be deployed as an underground network that tracks personnel and vehicle assets in real-time, whilst also providing seamless wireless data connectivity to both workers and vehicles.  Going one step further, the system also supports access control – for workers and vehicles - providing improved visibility and control of movements on and off site as well as into the underground tunnels.
Supports various colours and modes
The DragonFly Lighting platform offers a comprehensive solution for optimal visibility and safety in all situations by providing various lighting modes, including General Lighting, Emergency Lighting, and Evacuation Lighting. It features a range of selectable colour options such as red, green, amber, blue, and white, along with multiple modes of operation including static, flashing and trailing.
